WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Underwrite, price, and negotiate complex and emerging Cyber risks in a manner that is consistent with Relm’s risk appetite to ensure profitability, retention, and written premium goals are achieved
  • Negotiate, prepare, and draft policy and endorsement wording
  • Create and develop relationships with brokers and policyholders to establish new distribution relationships and sales channels
  • Attend and occasionally present at industry conferences, as needed and as the opportunity presents itself
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve company goals and drive cross-sell opportunities
  • Assist with strategic underwriting planning by developing and maintaining suitable management information to effectively evaluate the portfolio
  • Maintain compliance with all internal and external underwriting and regulatory guidelines, standards, and legal requirements

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst - Product with experience in the insurance industry to help define, document, and manage requirements for our Policy Administration System (PAS) and Broker Portal. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize product requirements that align with business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in translating business needs into actionable system features while ensuring product quality and successful delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Work closely with business stakeholders (underwriters, claims, compliance, and brokers) to gather and document detailed requirements for the Policy Admin System and Broker Portal.
  • Write clear, comprehensive functional and technical specifications, user stories, and workflows, ensuring they reflect the needs of end users and business goals.
  • Analyze and map current business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement or automation in insurance policy processing and broker interactions.
  • Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring alignment on product functionality, goals, and priorities.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, stakeholder input, and technical feasibility.
  • Define and document acceptance criteria for features, participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure successful product delivery that meets the specified requirements.

Relm Insurance is seeking a dynamic and analytical Competitive Product Marketer to enhance our market positioning and drive competitive strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the insurance landscape, have strong marketing acumen, and be skilled at translating insights into actionable marketing strategies. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Market Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on key competitors’ marketing strategies and market positioning of insurance products. Continuously monitor and report on competitive marketing activities and insurance industry marketing trends. 

  • Broker Insights: Work closely with Distribution and Underwriting to gather and analyze broker feedback and market data to understand broker needs and preferences. Use these insights to inform competitive strategies and engagement. 

  • Competitive Strategy: Identify and assess short-term and long-term competitive threats and opportunities. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership, product, and marketing teams. Contribute to the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new product launches and updates, ensuring competitive differentiation is a core component. 

  • Underwriting enablement: Ensure the underwriting team is equipped to address competitive considerations through effective regular training/enablement, and support individual risk-level decision making by providing key analysis and insights adhoc.  

  • Content Creation: Develop compelling competitive and product marketing content, competitive marketing comparison sheets, whitepapers, and case studies. Ensure that competitive differentiation is clearly articulated in all marketing materials whilst adhering to regulatory requirements. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Distribution, Underwriting, Executive, and other functions to ensure alignment on competitive strategies and messaging. Serve as the go-to marketing expert on competitor products and market positioning by building a competitive program inclusive of company-wide updates delivered on a consistent cadence.  

  • Thought Leadership: Position Relm Insurance as a thought leader in the industry by contributing to blogs, webinars, and industry events. Share insights on competitive trends and strategies.
