WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS or other relevant accounting standards.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored insurance solutions.
- Facilitate regular communication with clients, including providing updates on captive performance, regulatory compliance, and strategic opportunities.
- Support clients in evaluating their risk management strategies and identifying ways the captive can enhance their overall risk management program.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of captives, including underwriting, claims management, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements, regulatory filings, and other compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with actuaries, auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel to ensure captives operate within all applicable regulations and best practices.

Reporting directly to Global CEO/President, the Chief Risk Officer will oversee and manage all aspects of risk within the organization to ensure its financial stability and compliance with regulations and the Group level. The CRO will play a critical role in safeguarding the financial health and reputation of Relm by proactively identifying, assessing, and managing risk across the organization, working together with the rest of Relm’s leadership team to help the Company achieve its Goals, Objectives, and Key Results, which are focused on Diversification, Capital Strength, Global Expansion, Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Customer Obsession.
The CRO will be directly involved with the global leadership team’s group strategy and will be involved in regional and global (1) regulatory initiatives (2) underwriting (3) sales and marketing (4) operations and (5) corporate development, including capital raising, M&A and venture investments.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment and Management: Identify, assess, and prioritize risks faced by the company, including insurance underwriting risks, investment risks, operational risks, and regulatory risks. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing the insurance industry. Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate them to relevant stakeholders within the company.
